Privacy policy

When you submit a form on this site, we collect what you type into it: your name, your email address, your company, what you need help with, and any notes you add. When you email or call us, we keep that correspondence.

Our web host records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — for security and reliability. We receive page-view counts for every visit, and more detailed analytics only if you have accepted analytics cookies. Section 4 explains both.

To respond to your inquiry, to determine whether we can take on a matter, to run the conflicts check we are professionally required to run, and to maintain the site.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Submitting a form or sending an email does not create an attorney–client relationship, and information you send before we have agreed in writing to represent you may not be privileged. Please do not send sensitive details about a dispute until we have confirmed we can represent you.

That said, we treat prospective-client information as confidential and limit access to the attorneys who need to see it.

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies are optional, off until you accept them, and changeable at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which runs on every visit and is not part of the cookie banner. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so there is nothing to switch off and nothing that follows you to another site. It records which page you viewed, the page that sent you here, and general details of your browser, device, and country. We use it to understand which pages are read. It does not identify you, and we do not connect it to any matter.

We use a small number of vendors to run the firm: a website host, an email provider, a practice-management and intake platform, and a scheduling tool. Each processes information on our instructions and under contract. We do not disclose your information to anyone else except where required by law or by our professional obligations.

Inquiries that do not become engagements are kept in our email and intake systems for as long as we may need them for conflicts checking and for our professional records. Client files are retained under our engagement letter and the applicable Texas retention rules.

You may ask us what website information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you may withdraw cookie consent at any time. Write to hello@pathwise.law and we will respond within thirty days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law; tell us where you are and we will apply them.

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and raise the version number. The effective date shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be summarized at the top of the page for thirty days, and previous versions remain available.
